Oil Pulling!                                                                                                    

Ever hear about oil pulling? It’s incredible for your oral health, but it’s also great for helping to get rid of toxins in your body…and can even help clear your skin!

Here’s how to do it:  Take 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil and swish it around your mouth gently for 15-20 minutes.  When you’re done, spit out the oil in the trash and brush your teeth.  Simple as that!

Your breath will be amazing and your mouth will feel like a million bucks!

Couple things to know before you try it:

  • Don’t be aggressive…you want to avoid getting a sore jaw!
  • The oil will double in size because it’ll blend with saliva and drawn out toxins
  • Make sure NOT to swallow any oil because it will contain the toxins that you’re trying to remove from your body

Detoxifying effects of oil pulling go far beyond oral health and reach the entire body.

This week, your challenge is to try oil-pulling 3-4 times.

If 10-20 minutes sounds like a long time, try oil pulling in the shower, or while you check email or work around the house to help pass the time more quickly.
