Bucket List Challenge
This week your challenge is going to be a really FUN one!! We’re already a few weeks into January, so let’s get started with our 2017 Bucket List!
Bucket lists are great because:
• They make you stop and think about what you really want to do, experience, and achieve in your life
• They are a great reminder that life is short and you should live it passionately and with intention
• They keep you in touch with your dreams and encourage you to get creative and curious!
The key to a successful bucket list… is to remove the limits from your mind!
Get it out of your head for a moment about what you “think” is possible… and dream BIG!
So, the first step is to brainstorm ideas and try to think of things you’d like to do this year as if there are no limitations.
Your bucket list should get you excited. It should stir up some emotion inside of you- if it doesn’t, then don’t add it to your list!
To avoid having too much on your list this year, try putting just one thing on your list for each month. This way, you have a plan for something fun and exciting that you want to do each month in 2017!
If you want a few ideas, check out this site: bucketlistjourney.net/my-bucket-list
Once you’re done, share your list with the rest of us!
You up for trying something new this year and challenging yourself with a 2017 bucket list!? Let us know in the comments!

The CRAZY LEFTY Challenge!
Did you know that August 13th is known as Left-Handers Day?!
It’s true! More than 20 years ago, the Left-Handers Club launched International Left-Handers Day.
This day was created to increase public awareness of the advantages and disadvantages that “Left-Handers” have.
We live in a “right-handers” world… where most everything is created for right-handed people.
In the U.K. alone there are over 20 special events scheduled this day. There are games and activities just for lefties!
Since this day has been launched internationally, there have been big improvements in product designs as manufacturing companies have become more aware of just how many products don’t accommodate left-handers.
So…now that you have a little history about Left-Handers Day, I challenge you to use your “OTHER” hand this week EVERY day for at least ONE task! (if you’re a righty- use your left, and vice-versa)
Tasks you can try:
• Write a Letter
• Brush your Teeth
• Brush your Hair
• Click the Mouse on your Computer
• Dial on a Phone
Not only will this be fun, but it will also stimulate your brain! You’ll be surprised how hard this actually is if you give it a try.
Be creative!! Share on our Facebook Page what you’re using your left hand for this week. Have fun! Are you IN!? Leave a comment below…

Cold Shower Challenge
You may find this hard to believe, but splashing yourself with cold water once in a while is extremely good for your health.
It will take a little getting used to for sure…..it’s actually called taking a “James Bond Shower” because it really does take courage to lower that temperature down!
Yes, cold showers may not be the relaxing experience you’re used to, but it does come with some pretty incredible benefits….
- A cold shower in the morning will increase your body alertness and give you a natural dose of energy for the day. (Katharine Hepburn swore by them.)
- It helps refine your hair and skin by not drying it out like hot water does, and seals the pores to prevent dirt and bacteria from getting in.
- It can improve your immune system, lower blood pressure and clear blocked arteries by making your arteries pump blood more efficiently.
- It can stimulate weight loss
- It can reduce muscle soreness and aid the recovery process
- It can increase your tolerance to stress
- Studies have shown that cold showers can create anti-depressive effects and even boost mood

Food Journal Challenge
It can be really hard to abandon old habits, even if we have strong intentions and a desire to change.
Ever hear the phrase “What you measure, you can manage?” It’s true- in pretty much every area of life…. and is absolutely true in regards to nutrition.
Keeping a food journal is not only a great exercise, but will help you gain insight into your eating habits and hold you accountable to what you’re putting in your body.
There’s no judgment in a journal, just facts. Once you’ve recorded everything, you can analyze it and make changes for the future.
Keeping a journal may seem tedious at first, but I challenge you to try and take notes about what you eat this week.
Journaling tips:
• Write down what time of day you’re eating (and drinking)
• Make sure to include portion sizes (estimate the best you can)
• Write down the emotions you’re feeling before, during, & after you eat
• Write down EVERYTHING that goes into your mouth- even if it’s just one M&M
You might be surprised about what you’ll learn… and if nothing else, it will make you more aware of the quality and quantity of food that you’re eating.
Try this delicious lime coleslaw today!!
