Ingredients:ย
3 apples
1 tsp cinnamon
1-2 tsp coconut sugar (optional)
1 Tbsp crushed nuts or seeds
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐ
- Slice apple in half and remove core and seeds
- Place apples flesh side up in baking dish
- Sprinkle with cinnamon, coconut sugar and nuts/seeds
- Bake for approximately 35 minutes until apples are soft

FOODIE FUN CHALLENGE!
Are you in a food rut, eating the same-old things every day or week?
Letโs shake things up! This weekโs challenge is all about trying something youโve NEVER eaten before.
Itโs your perfect opportunity to try foods that have piqued your interest over the years.
Maybe you want to try one of those exotic fruits youโve seen at the grocery store: a dragonfruit, starfruit, or persimmon.
Or maybe you havenโt gotten on the chia or kombucha bandwagons yet (what are you waiting for?)…..now is the time!
Sushi? Coconut milk yogurt? Kefir? Honeycomb? Cricket Protein Powder!?
Be brave and make it fun!
Seriously, there are so many amazing and healthy foods available now that werenโt around just ten years ago. Make this the week you try one of them.

Just. Eat. Real. Food.
JERF stands for โJust Eat Real Foodโ and thatโs what this challenge is all about!
โReal foodโ is simply food found in its most natural, unprocessed stateโฆ free from any additives, chemicals, hormones, and artificial substances.
For example: fresh apple = real food; packaged snack bar that has apples in it = NOT real food.
Our bodies are the most amazing, complex machines and we need REAL fuel. Eating real food will:
โข Improve brain function
โข Balance hormones
โข Enhance your mood
โข Improve the quality of your sleep
โข Increase energy levels
โข Speed up your metabolism
โข Lead to faster recovery after training
โข Help strengthen your immune system and protect you from developing all sorts of diseases
Basically, if you can grow it or raise it yourself, itโs free game. Here are a few ideas of what you can eat during your JERF Challenge:
โข Meat, Poultry, & Fish (grass-fed, pasture-raised, and wild is best)
โข Vegetables & Fruits (organic when possible)
โข Nuts & Seeds
โข Whole Grains like quinoa, amaranth, gluten-free steel cut oats
โข LIMITED amounts of raw, real sweeteners like honey or coconut sugar
โข If you absolutely have to eat packaged foods, only select items that have 3 ingredients or less.
